SRAM XD/R-driver body
All the Forza disc brake wheels can be upgraded to a SRAM XD/R-driver body for SRAM AXS 12 speed groupsets. The conversion to a SRAM XD/R-driver body only requires to replace the Forza M-body by the suitable Forza XD/R-driver body. The same end caps can be used, no additional parts are necessary.
XD/R-driver body shell greasing
Before assembling the Sram 12 speed sprocket, grease the hub shell thread with copper grease to increase the lifetime of your body and sprocket.
Replacing the M-body by the XD/R-driver body
Removing the end cap and sealing
- Mount the two M12 Allen keys on both sides in the end caps to unscrew.
- Turn both Allen keys to each other to loosen the end cap at the non-drive side.
- Remove the end cap at the non-drive side by unscrewing them by hand.
Dismounting the freehub body and spacer
- Remove the hub axle by pulling on the end cap at the drive side when tilting the wheel with the drive side to the ground.
- Together with the axle, the freehub and the freehub spacer can be removed from the wheel.
- Remove one by one the spacer, the freehub and the sealing from the axle.
Cleaning the parts
- Clean all parts of the hub with paper towel.
- Position the parts in the sequence as they came out the hub to remember the right sequence.
Remounting the hub axle
- Put the hub axle through the new XD/R driver body, starting from the outside of the freehub.
- Put the freehub spacer on the hub axle and press it against the new XD/R driver body.
- Mount the axle through the hub housing along the drive side and make sure the XDR freehub body is correctly mounted in the hub housing.
Remounting the end cap and sealing
- Screw the end cap at the non-drive side of the hub by hand.
- Mount the two M12 Allen keys on both sides in the end caps and screw tightly, by turning both Allen keys away from each other with 5 Nm.
